Ken Theriot and Lisa Theriot Voice Over Pricing

by

Pricing in this business is a bit of an “it depends” type of proposition.  But we attempt to make it pretty easy.  Here are our guidelines, which are in line with voice-over industry standards.

  • Small projects like short (less than a full page) narrations for corporate training, podcasts, etc. that are no more than a single dry voice will be $50.00 per job.  Simple huh?
  • Radio or TV spots for large industrial companies (who will reach a much larger audience than the first scenario), start at $100 per job and change depending on the duration of the run and the size of the market.
  • Long narrations for podcasts or audio books will be based on just how long they are.  The going-in assumption is that for each hour of finished audio, the price will be $500.  For extremely long projects, the “per word” pricing scheme goes into effect.  We charge eight cents per word if a project is over 10,000 words (MS Word will count your project’s word-count).  So basically, you get some economies-of-scale for really long jobs.

Whew!  Complicated enough for you?  Well the above is all just estimations.  We will base our final quotes on your specific job.

We provide high quality audio in any format you request (mp3, wav, FLAC, OGG, etc.), usually within 24 hours of completing our deal negotiations.  Of course this is dependent on the length of the job (YOU try reading and recording War and Peace in less than 24 hours:)) or how you want the audio (a CD will of course have to snail-mailed).

If you want an audition, e-mail us a script and some instructions so you can “try before you buy!”

Payment through Paypal is the way we like to do it.  I’ve been with them for 11 years and never once had a problem.
